Idleness

As peace is the end of the war,

And night, always, isn’t from light too far.

To be idle is the only respite for the Busy

For our mind, from life’s labour, wants to be lazy

Who says idleness is a vice

A curse, a punishment for the wise

A rust that eats away one’s brains

Us, from success and wisdom, it refrains

Idleness bestows upon us leisure

Time to recount and peep into memory’s treasure

Time to observe and think out of the rut

It goads curiosity and feelings from the gut.

Idleness gives solace and peace from life’s Din

So, for the “Counter-wise” idleness is not a sin!!
